Saya adalah Alumni S1 Sastra Inggris UNS/Universistas Sebelas Maret, S2 Linguistik Deskriptif UNS dan meraih gelar Doktor setelah lulus Ujian tertutup program S3 Linguistik Deskriptif di FIB UNS  tanggal 17 September 2024. UNS Forever d^^b.

Saya pernah mengajar Bahasa Inggris di UMS Surakarta 2001-2007

dan Sejak 2008 – Sekarang mengajar Bahasa Inggris di UIN- Universitas Islam Negeri Salatiga.

Dr. Faizal Risdianto is a faculty member at Universitas Islam Negeri Salatiga, Indonesia, specializing in linguistics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis. He holds degrees from Sebelas Maret University, including a doctoral degree in Linguistic Descriptive Studies (2024). His research focuses on Systemic Functional Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, sociolinguistics, and Islamic English. He has published extensively in international journals, contributing to studies on appraisal theory, identity in bilingual contexts, and power representation in news discourse. His recent works examine ideological realizations in Indonesian news texts and expressive speech acts in digital communication. He also serves as an editor and reviewer for multiple academic journals, including **Register Journal** and **JoPR (Journal of Pragmatics Research)**. 

 With over two decades of experience in English language teaching, Dr. Risdianto has worked at various institutions, including Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and UIN Salatiga, where he continues to lecture. His contributions extend to book publications, covering topics such as pragmatics, semantics, translation, and English literature. His expertise in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and discourse studies informs both his teaching and research, bridging linguistic theory with practical language application. As an advocate for multilingual education, his work underscores the intersection of language, identity, and ideology in diverse sociocultural contexts.

BIO-NOTE

 Faizal Risdianto is the English lecturer at State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Dealing with his Education, he finished his undergraduate study at the English department of Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret Surakarta in 2000. Then, he finished his Magister study at the Department of Descriptive Linguistics at the same University in 2007. He finished his Ph.D at the same University in September 2024. His research interests include Functional Linguistics, Literature Study, Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis and English Language Teaching. He heads the Publication Center and Journal House (Rumah Jurnal) of Universitas Islam Negeri Salatiga. He had been working as a National Journal Assessor and Associate Editor of DOAJ. He is a member of the Indonesian Journal Volunteer Association (RJI), SINTA University level Verificator, Mendeley Advisor and often a speaker for Journal Accreditation for national and international journals. He took the short course Computer Cabling & Networking and English Course in India in 2013. He has been teaching in the field of linguistics and language teaching for more than 23 years. His main expertise interest is in the inter-relationship of language, culture and language teaching. He is the Secretary General of the INAPRA-Indonesian Pragmatics Association, whose main target is conducting research, teaching and developing Pragmatics and linguistics in general. Faizal Risdianto has authored 9 (nine) books on Pragmatics, Semantics, Morphology, Translation, English reading, English Literature, and English Grammar. He is also the Editor of REGISTER JOURNAL, an ESCI WoS-indexed journal and a Reviewer of several nationally accredited SINTA journals.

Saya pernah menjadi Asessor Jurnal nasional dan Associate Editor DOAJ. Saya adalah Anggota Perkumpulan Relawan Jurnal Indonesia (RJI), Sinta Verifikator tingkat Perguruan Tinggi, Mendeley Advisor dan sering menjadi narasumber Akreditasi Jurnal menuju jurnal nasional dan Internasional.
